Sam Majoor earned his master’s degree in biomedical sciences with a specialisation in Regenerative Medicine from Maastricht University in 2022. During his master he spend one year at the Institute for Technology-Inspired Regenerative Medicine (MERLN), where he looked at the systemic effects of multiple trauma. After his master’s degree Sam worked on designing a 3-D model for bladder cancer at the Bernal Institute of the University of Limerick, Ireland. In May 2024, Sam started working as a PhD candidate at the University Medical Centre Groningen under supervision of Prof. Dr. Van der Meer, Dr. Bömer and Dr. Grote Beverborg. Sam’s PhD project focuses on micronutrition in heart failure, with an emphasis on iron deficiency.
