Lukas Baumhove studied medicine in Oldenburg (Germany) at the European Medical School Oldenburg-Groningen. During his studies in Oldenburg, he successfully applied for the MD/PhD program at the UMCG. After obtaining his medical degree in Germany in 2021, he immediately started his full-time research period in Groningen. His research under the supervision of Peter van der Meer, Adriaan A. Voors and Jasper Trump mainly focuses on sex differences and inflammation in heart failure.
