Lisa Emmens

Lisa Emmens started with a pilot project in the Cardiology department in 2014 as a second-year medical student. Ever since, she never left: June 2016 she was accepted into the MD-PhD programme and in June 2020 she obtained her MD degree. In September 2021 she successfully defended her thesis entitled “Novel insights in urinary and plasma biomarkers in heart failure” and obtained her PhD degree.

Her postdoctoral research primarily focuses on biomarkers and risk factors in the prevention of heart failure.
