Eva Pet completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Economics at Wheaton college in Massachusetts. Following this she completed the Erasmus+ International Master of Innovative Medicine (IMIM) in 2023, receiving a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment (MMIT) from the University of Groningen as well as a Masters in Medical Science from Uppsala University. During her studies she performed three research projects related to pharmaceutical technology and drug delivery. In November of 2023 she joined the Experimental Cardiology department as a PhD student under supervision of prof. Dr. Peter van der Meer and Dr. Nils Bömer. Over the course of her PhD she will be researching the mechanisms of cancer related cardiotoxicity and exploring treatment strategies using patient induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) derived cardiomyocytes and 3D engineered cardiac tissues.
