At the UMCG cardiology research center there are plenty of opportunities for ambitious medical students; the most important one being the prestigious MD/PhD program of the junior scientific master class.
We have a longstanding and very successful history with the MD/PhD program of the Junior Scientific Masterclass. The MD/PhD scholarship offers the opportunity to combine two years of medical internships with two years of research, graduating as an MD and a PhD within just 4 years.
You will become a physician-scientist and develop the unique ability to identify and study important medical questions independently. You will develop many skills that last a lifetime and will help shape your future career opportunities.
