DECISION trial now published

The #DECISION trial now published! Thanks to all investigators, the @hartstichting, WCN and all patients it was possible to conduct this 1000 patients RCT in HF. Digoxin was safe, well tolerated and although the overall results were not conclusive, there was a positive trend towards risk reduction for HF events, and a new meta-analysis which included DECISION showed a significant reduction in death and hospitalization for heart failure. Withdrawal of digoxin was associated with worsening HF.
