Suzanne Voorrips graduated medical school at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and works since 2020 as physician-scientist in the cardiology department. During her PhD she conducts reseach focusing on improving energy metabolism, exercise performance and ketone body metabolism in heart failure. Under supervision of Dr. Daan Westenbrink and Prof. Peter van der Meer she has designed and conducted several clinical trials, including the KETONE-HF and the CAMP study. Furthermore, she also works on experimental projects on energy metabolism in heart failure.
