After having worked two years in the clinic, one year at the Intensive Care Unit and one year at the Department of Cardiology, Bart van Essen started his job as a physician-scientist in February 2021. Under the supervision of prof. Voors his research mainly focusses on the pathophysiology of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction.
